The IBV Supercar Club has etched its name in history by successfully setting a new Guinness World Record, marking a significant achievement in the automotive and philanthropic communities. The event, characterized by an impressive Supercar Parade, was met with enthusiasm and support from a diverse array of participants.

Ashok Sewnarain, the CEO of IBV International Vaults, expressed profound gratitude towards everyone involved in this monumental endeavour. He stated, “IBV extends heartfelt thanks to each individual, corporate partner, volunteer and member of the media who contributed to making this event a resounding success. Our objective was to raise over R1 million and through the dedicated efforts of all those who pledged their support, we achieved this goal.”

The beneficiaries of this remarkable initiative include UNICEF, Child Welfare South Africa, The Sunflower Fund, and the IBV Children’s VIP Day, demonstrating a commitment to social responsibility and community support.

Mark McKinley, the adjudicator from Guinness World Records, who travelled from London to oversee the event, noted the unprecedented nature of this record attempt. He remarked, “I have never witnessed such a spectacular display of vehicles and was truly impressed by the warm hospitality extended by Durban.”

This event not only celebrated automotive excellence but also showcased a remarkable community spirit, proving that when we come together for a cause, incredible things can happen.
